   Emerging markets today
account for 25.5% of the
$730bn global IT services
market, growing at an
annual growth rate of 8%
versus the developed
markets rate of 6%,
according to analyst
estimates. Goldman Sachs
estimates that the
economies of BRIC
countries (Brazil,
Russia, India, China) as
well as Mexico are
rapidly expanding and
will account for

 approximately 50% of the
world GDP by 2050.
   "Our plan for emerging
economies include three
immediate strategic
priorities – upgrading
our presence
significantly in the BRIC
economies, entering new
markets and expanding our
network of global
delivery centres," said
Rozman.
   The company's presence
in Latin America, spread
over 12 countries in the
region, has developed
into a large operation in
just five years, which

 caters for over 150
clients, employs 5,500
local professionals and
generates 4.7% of TCS
revenues (at the end of
Q3 2007-08). The company
has set up global
delivery centres in six
countries across the
region.
   The company also has a
significant presence in
China, South Africa,
United Arab Emirates and
Eastern Europe.

further diversify its
revenue base as well as
expand its global
delivery capabilities.
   "With emerging market
economies growing
sharply, we believe this
is the right time to
further extend our
presence and partner with
customers in these
geographies," said N

Moorhouse reaffirms commitment to the management consultancy sector

 Programme and project
management firm Moorhouse
Consulting has made a new
appointment to its
leadership team, with the
promotion of Carrie
Oliver from principal to
director. Ex-Big Five
consultant Oliver, who
has 12 years’ experience
advising senior public
sector clients in the UK
and the US, has impressed

 both customers and
colleagues alike since
joining the firm last
July.
   Managing director Dom
Moorhouse said: "From the
moment Carrie came on
board, she quickly
impressed with her
innovative ideas for the
business and she wasted
no time in winning new
work with the Department

 for Transport (DfT) –
putting us centre stage
on one of most strategic
transport programmes in
the country.
   "Carrie has proved to
be the consummate
professional – her
passion for client
delivery is unsurpassed –
possibly matched only by
her somewhat zany, but
infectious, sense of

 humour. We are delighted
to have her contributing
to how we grow and shape
our company."
   Oliver, an American
Canadian who made London
her home in 2003, said
she was thrilled with her
new appointment and the
direction Moorhouse
