| | Fifty consulting organisations will field more than 500 recruiters at this year’s Consultancy Careers Fair to be held at The Barbican on both the evening of the 9th October and throughout the day of the 10th October. And it looks as if they will all be kept pretty busy as job seeker bookings are already rolling in, showing that some (thousands) at least are enthusiastic about driving their careers forward, despite uncertainties about the wider economic outlook.
The line-up of exhibitors includes three of the “Big Four” firms, some of the fastest growing consultancies and a huge range of major consulting brands like Accenture, IBM, Navigant Consulting and EDS.

The fair, which attracted about 2,500 consulting candidates last year, represents a unique opportunity for job seekers to find out which firms are right for them. Candidates attending the fair will be able to meet recruiters in person and gain insights from consultants who work for the different firms. They will be able to hear first-hand what it is like to work for the firms, what inspires their staff, and what makes that employer stand out from the crowd.
For the first time this year, the Consultancy Careers Fair will have an evening event on 9th October, allowing those candidates who can’t spare a full day to attend the fair on 10th October to meet the | |

As in previous years, the 2008 event will be supported by an extensive marketing campaign that includes promotion on a range of websites other than Top-Consultant.com and TopITconsultant.com, as well as offline channels including The Evening Standard.
In previous years, due to capacity limitations, tickets have not always been available for purchase on the days of the event. To avoid disappointment candidates should register early at http://www.theconsultanc ycareersfair.com/visitors /WhyAttend.aspx.
