Detica receives US National Security approvals
 
 Detica's US subsidiary
has been granted the
necessary US Government
approvals to work
directly with US
National Security
agencies.
   Detica has also
appointed three
 
 non-executive directors
to the Board of Detica
Inc, the US subsidiary.
General John A Gordon
(USAF, Ret), Barbara A
McNamara and Edward L
Allen have between them
held very senior
advisory and operational
 
 roles within the White
House, the Central
Intelligence Agency, the
National Security Agency
and the Federal Bureau
of Investigation.
   Detica said its first
contract with the US
Government was signed on
 
 receipt of the
approvals, but provided
no further details on
the award.
   "We have taken a
conservative, low risk
approach to our entry
into the US National
Security market and have
 
 been using our resources
to-date to build
awareness and a business
pipeline ahead of these
approvals," said Dr. Tom
Black, Chief Executive
of Detica Group.
  
 
 
TCS wins 'Special Recognition Award' from British PM Tony Blair
 
 British Prime Minister
Tony Blair presented
Tata Consultancy
Services with the 'UK
Trade and Investment
Special Recognition
Award' during his trip
to India.
   The award is
 
 recognition of TCS'
contribution to the
United Kingdom's
knowledge economy. The
Award has been
instituted to recognise
exceptional contribution
in business leadership,
innovation and
 
 entrepreneurship in the
United Kingdom.
   TCS has been
operating in the United
Kingdom since 1975.
Today, TCS has over 5000
consultants engaged on
UK client work, over
2,000 of which are
 
 located at more than 40
client sites across the
UK. TCS' UK clients
include Aviva, Forth
Ports, Somerfield, P&O
Nedlloyd, United
Utilities, British
Telecom, British
Airways, National Grid,
 
 Standard Life and the
Prudential Group among

ISS & ARINSO sign first HR outsourcing agreement in the Netherlands
 
 ARINSO People Services
has won what it says is
the first large-scale HR
services outsourcing
agreement in the
Netherlands.
   ISS Facility
Services, one of the
world's largest facility
services groups, has
chosen to outsource its
administrative HR
 
 services to ARINSO under
a five-year contract
valued at 12.5 million
EUR.
   Under the terms of
the agreement, ARINSO
will take over ISS staff
and operate the
administrative HR
processes for more than
22,000 ISS employees in
the Netherlands. As part
 
 of the contract, ARINSO
will set up an HR Shared
Service Centre.
   ARINSO will provide
HR services to ISS
Facility Services from
its service centre in
Utrecht. As a result,
some 30 ISS employees
will be transferred to
ARINSO.
   ARINSO People
 
 Services Nederland B.V.
is a subsidiary of
ARINSO International,
which was founded in
1994 and currently
employs close to 2,000
staff in 23 countries:
Belgium, Luxembourg, the
Netherlands, France,
Spain, Portugal, Italy,
United Kingdom, Germany,
Sweden, Austria,
 
 Switzerland, Finland,
Poland, US, Canada,
Argentina, Brazil,
Mexico, Singapore,
Malaysia, Thailand &
Morocco.
   In 2004, the
company's consolidated
net sales grew to Euro

LogicaCMG wins key Galileo Service Centre development contract
 
 LogicaCMG has been
awarded a contract to
develop a prototype
version of the Galileo
Service Centre, which
will form the heart of
the commercial operation
of Europe's three
billion Euro satellite
navigation programme -
 
 Galileo.
   "The Service Centre
will provide the
interface to Galileo
users and service
providers, in particular
in relation to
commercial issues," said
Mr Eric Gelle, director
of FDC (France
 
 Developpement Conseil).
"It is therefore a
crucial element in
ensuring wide commercial
uptake of the Galileo
services and those of
the European
Geostationary Navigation
Overlay Service (EGNOS),
Galileo's precursor."
 
    The LogicaCMG
contract is part of a
wider programme called
the "Galileo Reference
Mission" which was
awarded to FDC of France
by the Galileo Joint
Undertaking. This
initiative addresses
what the Galileo system
 
 provides users in terms
of mission, services and
signals. These functions
are deemed fundamental
for applications
development and receiver
manufacturers.
  
 
 
WHO chooses Satyam to implement global ERP solution
 
 The World Health
Organization (WHO) has
chosen Satyam Computer
Services to implement
its Global Management
System (GSM), aimed at
 
 improving the agency's
operational efficiency.
   Satyam didn't
disclose the exactly sum
of the contract but it
was it was a
 
 "multi-million dollar"
win and one of its
largest in Europe.
   Satyam has been
chosen to implement a
global roll-out, of an
 
 Oracle-based ERP system
that includes full
functionality and
end-to-end processes,
throughout the agency
and its offices in more
