consolidating its
consulting operations
across the world with
the launch of Capgemini
Consulting, the new
global business unit of
the Capgemini Group,
headed by Pierre-Yves
Cros, former group
strategy director.
The creation of
Capgemini Consulting,
which will have its own
brand identity, is the
result of the
consolidation of its
existing country-based
consulting operations
around the world,
creating a global
business unit of more
than 4,000 consultants
working in over 30
countries. In 2008
consulting accounted for
8% of group revenues.
Capgemini said the
move is a response to | |

| | increasing client demand
for global reach and
direct access to the
breadth of consulting
expertise across the
group, whether
sector-specific or
issue-related. In
addition, Capgemini said
the creation of the unit
will enable the group to
further exploit the
synergies between its
different businesses.
Consulting has a
long-standing heritage
within the Capgemini
Group, with strong
bBusiness-transformation
experience and
industry-leading clients
in numerous sectors
including public,
manufacturing and
financial services.

The global leadership
team of Capgemini
Consulting will be
headquartered in London.
Previously Cros was
strategy director for
the Capgemini Group. In
this role he was
integral to the
conception and
implementation of
several transformation
programs, notably in the
United States as well as
the i3 transformation
program
(Industrialisation, | |

| | Innovation and Intimacy)
launched at the end of
2006. He was also
instrumental in the
acquisition of Kanbay
International in 2006
and has contributed
greatly to growing the
Capgemini Group’s Indian
operations.
Cros joined the
Capgemini Group in 1988
as a corporate strategy
consultant. In 1997 he
became a senior vice
president of Gemini
Consulting, in charge of
Global Operations. Cros
holds a Master of
Science from the
National Institute of
Applied Science,
considered one of
France’s top
universities, and an MBA
from the HEC School of
