Capgemini sells North American health care consulting practice
 
 Capgemini is selling its
health care project and
consulting practice in
the US and Canada to
Accenture for $175
million, as part of the
French IT group's
previously announced
"asset disposal

 contracts with health
care clients in the US,
as well as federal
public sector health
consulting capabilities
in the US after the
transaction, which the
company said are both
global strategic focus
areas.
 
    The acquisition will
combine Accenture's
market-leading
capabilities in working
with health plans, life
sciences companies and
government organizations
with Capgemini's
strength in serving
hospitals and health
 
 systems.
   Analysts gave a
cautious welcome to the
sale, which they said
bolstered confidence
that the Capgemini could
hit its 3 per cent
operating margin target

Navigant Consulting acquires Tiber Group
 
 Navigant Consulting has
acquired Tiber Group,
enhancing its Healthcare
practice, specifically
in the areas of
hospital, healthcare
provider and managed
care organization
strategic analysis and
business strategy
 
 formulation. Transaction
details were not
released.
   Founded in 1989,
Tiber Group is a
specialized management
consultant firm which
assists senior
healthcare executives
with regard to strategic
 
 advisory services,
including strategic
analysis, service line
portfolio analysis,
strategy formulation and
organizational
transformation. A
significant number of
Tiber Group's
engagements have been
 
 for private and
not-for-profit hospital
systems, including large
academic medical
centers, multi-facility
faith-based systems and
regional community-based
systems.
   Tiber Group's 24
billable professionals
 
 will integrate with the
other teams in Navigant
Consulting's Healthcare
practice, which has more
than 375 professionals.

 Edengene - the leading

Abbey - has announced
 
 the appointment of Chris
Robson as new CEO.
   Chris was formerly
CEO of internet business
solutions provider,
Syzygy and prior to that
was new business
 
 director at DMB&B. Chris
succeeds Tim Thorne who
will step down from the
day-to-day running of
the company to focus
more on client business,
where a number of new
 
 projects have made
increasing demands on
his time.
   As CEO of Edengene
Chris will be
responsible for building
a scalable business and
 
 developing a broader set
of services and clients.

as one of the four
finalists in The AXA

 Detica has acquired the
business and selected
assets of Extraprise UK
Limited, a consultancy
and systems integrator
specialising in Customer
Relationship Management
(CRM) systems, for a

 list and certain fixed
assets to Detica.
Subject to future
negotiation with
Extraprise UK's current
clients, the transaction
is expected to include
the novation of certain
ongoing client contracts
 
 to Detica.
   The transaction adds
an established change
management practice,
which will allow Detica
to offer enhanced
business strategy and
organisational change
services. It also
 
 provides Detica with
additional skills in
certain operational CRM
packages such as Siebel
which are heavily used
across Detica's client
base and to which many
of Detica's solutions
must interface.
