Fujitsu Consulting makes third acquisition in a month
 
 Fujitsu Consulting has
reached an agreement to
acquire Rapidigm, a
Pittsburgh, US-based
privately-held
information technology
consulting and
integration firm with
offices in 22 major
 
 metropolitan markets in
the United States and
offshore development
centres in India.
   The financial terms
of the acquisition were
not disclosed.
   This is the third
acquisition Fujitsu
 
 Consulting has announced
in recent weeks.
Greenbrier & Russel, a
business and technology
consulting firm, and
Montreal-based GIM Risk
Management, provider of
integrated governance
solutions, were acquired
 
 in February by the
company.
   Once completed, this
acquisition will add
approximately 1,200
US-based consultants in
major markets through
the US and another 800
India-based consultants
 
 in two developments
centres. This will bring
Fujitsu’s consultant
headcount in North
America to over 4,900.
  
 
 
Infosys' Prague centre to be operational by April
 
  
   
 
 
 
 up its infrastructure
management service
(IMS). The Prague centre
will also boost the
company's near-shore
capabilities.
   Fifty to 60 people
will be hired for the
 
 centre, which is to be
operational by April.
The company plans to
double the headcount in
the course of the year.
Progeon, Infosys' BPO
subsidiary, already has
a centre in Prague.
 
    Infosys is expecting
IMS revenues to cross
$100m this year,
accounting for 5% of
total revenue, up from
$55m in the previous 12
months.
   Infosys' IMS practice
 
 currently has around
2,000 professionals,
operating from four
centres in India. The
five-year-old practice
serves around 70
clients.

LogicaCMG acquires Worksuite
 
  
   
 
 
 
 
 
 American utility work
and asset management
solutions with the
acquisition of Worksuite
LLC.
   Financial details of
the deal, in which
LogicaCMG acquired the
operations and certain
 
 assets of Worksuite, a
member company of Severn
Trent Plc, based in
Houston, Texas, were not
disclosed.
   Worksuite has
provided work
management, scheduling
and mobile computing
 
 solutions to the
utilities industry for
more than 20 years.
   The combination of
Worksuite and LogicaCMG
represents an installed
customer base of nearly
50 North American
utilities serving
 
 approximately
125,000,000 utility end
users with a dominant
presence in the
enterprise asset
management domain.

strengthened its
positions in the North
