DiamondCluster Q3 profit increases five-fold
 
 DiamondCluster
International reported
profits of $5.4m for the
third quarter of fiscal
2005, compared with
$1.0m for the year ago
period and $4.1m for the
prior quarter, as the
company concentrated on
 
 developing non-cyclical
business.
   Net revenue for the
quarter ended December
31, 2004 was $50.2m,
compared with $39.5m for
the year-ago period and
$46.1m for the prior
quarter, ahead of
 
 analysts' expectations
for revenue of $49.3m.
   "We demonstrated
progress toward our goal
of creating more
predictability in our
business through
exposure to non-cyclical
industries, and we're
 
 pursuing growth
opportunities in new
geographies," said Mel
Bergstein, chairman and
CEO of DiamondCluster
International.
   DiamondCluster
expects net revenue for
the March quarter to be
 
 between $51m and $54m,
and it raised its fourth
quarter earnings
guidance to $0.15 or
$0.16 per diluted

HP wins seven-year Foreign Office
contract
 
 The UK Foreign and
Commonwealth Office
(FCO) has signed a
GBP180 million IT
outsourcing contract
with Hewlett-Packard to
upgrade the Office's
secure global IT desktop
infrastructure, known as
"Firecrest."
 
  
   
 
 
 
 
 
 create a single online
organisation for all FCO
locations in the UK and
overseas.
   "This has been a
ground-breaking
procurement, which
represents a genuine
partnership as opposed
to a more traditional
 
 outsourcing
arrangement," said FCO
Permanent Under
Secretary Sir Michael
Jay.
   Under the terms of
the contract, Hewlett
Packard and FCO's
in-house IT providers
will form a Joint
 
 Service Delivery Team
under joint management.
   The contract also
represents a significant
achievement for HP who
beat off competition to
secure the deal after a
two-year rigorous
procurement process.
  
 
    Under the seven year
deal, the largest
contract the FCO has
ever signed, HP is to
 
 
Axon to exceed market expectations
 
 Axon, the business
transformation services
company, has announced
that 2004 trading
results will exceed
current market
expectations.
   The company expects
to report year-on-year
 
  
   
 
 
 
 
 £7.1 million on turnover
of approximately £60
million.
   "We have already made
an excellent start to
2005 and we are
confident we will
deliver both revenue and
profit ahead of current
 
 market expectations,"
said Mark Hunter, Axon's
CEO.
   "As we announced in
2004, our growth
strategy is taking us
into new countries, new
sectors and new
partnerships, but our
 
 proposition and values
are unchanged," Hunter
added.
   The company said

Deloitte Madrid office destroyed in building fire
 
 The Madrid office of
Deloitte Spain was
destroyed in a massive
fire that engulfed the
32-story building, 20
floors of which housed
the firm's offices.
   Deloitte was quick to
issue a statement says
that its operations in
Madrid and in the rest
of the country will
continue as normal. The
firm said most of the
about 1000 Madrid
employees will resume
work on the Monday
 
  
   
 
 
 
 following the weekend
fire from other
locations.
   Deloitte expects to
select a new
headquarters in a "few
days." The fire has been
extinguished but the
Windsor Building is
structurally unstable
and Madrid authorities
have decided to demolish
it.
 
 
BearingPoint donates $600,000 to tsunami relief
efforts
 
 BearingPoint said it is
matching the nearly
$300,000 pledged by its
employees towards relief
efforts for victims of
the earthquake and
tsunamis in Southeast
Asia.
   Most of the $600,000
collected through this
BearingPoint program are
being directed to the
International Response
Fund of the American Red
Cross, which

providing emergency
disaster relief services
to all the areas hit by
the disaster.
   The BearingPoint
Charitable Foundation,
