Hedra strengthens senior team to focus on utilities and energy market

 Hedra has further
strengthened its service
offering with an
additional focus on the
utilities and energy
market.
   The firm has
recruited an experienced
team of people from
major consulting

 organisations with
detailed knowledge and
experience of providing
consulting services in
the sector. The move
comes as part of Hedra's
growth strategy, with
this sector closely
aligning itself to
Hedra's current services

 in both the public and
private sectors.
   Stephen Farrell,
executive board director
at Hedra said: "Over the
past 24 months we have
experienced a
significant increase in
the level of enquiries
from companies within

 the utilities and energy
sector. Strengthening
our business with the
introduction of a
dedicated utilities and
energy team is an
important step for Hedra
and is consistent with
our growth strategy of
building our commercial

 business with focus on
specific sectors. We
welcome the team to
Hedra and the
substantial sector
experience and contacts
they bring with them."

Should I quit my day job?

"Ok, here is the deal. I
am tired. I have been
working for maybe seven
years and I am trying my
best not to give up.
Four years at
Careerbuilder.com. Yet
still I can’t find the

 right job. Two years
selling HR outsourcing
and I am still confused.
And, oh yeah, I did a
small tour with Miller
Zell, or should I say
the "Firm". Now I am
working as a consultant

 to the insurance
industry and I have
worked a few deals – not
bad deals at all, to pat
myself on the back. What
should be my next step?
Does anyone think I
should go back to

 working for someone
else. I do. I set up an
LLC for tax purposes. I
TM my own sales program
and it is nice. Yet I am
still not filled with my
salary dreams and making
a difference. Any votes?

If I was voting I would
vote for early
retirement. Yet that is
so far away.

Consultants' Blog
Seven tips for candidates

 Management consultants
typically change jobs
every three to four
years, seeking greater
fulfilment, financial
reward, recognition,
appreciation.
   What is absolutely
critical when you're

 moving is to ensure
you:
   i) move for the right
reasons;
   ii) find a firm that
can genuinely deliver on
the changes you want to
see happening in your
career/life;

    iii) do what's
necessary to maximise
your chances of success
in this move.

   With this in mind
I've been "penning" a
tips report for
consulting candidates,

 possibly as a prelude to
writing a book on the
subject. If you'd like a
free copy of the PDF
tips report, just email
me on
tonyr@top-consultant.com
referencing the blog as
the place you heard

 about the report...
