| Consulting cartoon goes viral |

|
| | Berkeley Partnership's head of talent and personal development, Katriona O'Connor, wanted to approach recruitment in a different way, starting by making sure more consultants were aware of Berkeley in the first place, and getting across the vibrant personality of the partnership. So, together with digital ad agency Nonsense London, Berkeley Partnership's consultants had fun imagining what would happen If Santa Hired Consultants....
These thoughts provided light hearted inspiration for a series of cartoons, designed to poke a bit of fun at the consultancy world in this currently gloomy climate.
The world of consultancy doesn’t seem to be short on material for the cartoons. Charts

While the not so glamorous client locations and the not so five star hotels have proven very inspirational, there is surprisingly little about another major consultant gripe – travel.
The December campaign to promote the blog generated just under 15,000 views. Top-Consultant.com emailed readers about the cartoon strip as a fun thing to look at in the run-up to Christmas, expecting modest interest from those not swamped with work. That one email ended up generating thousands of visits to the site, showing the

The response prompted the Berkeley Partnership to run a caption competition in mid December, which received nearly 100 entries.
Without any further promotional activity after the Christmas campaign, the blog continues to receive hits, already totalling nearly 700 in the first few weeks of 2009.
Due to the success of If Santa Hired Consultants..., Berkeley Partnership plan to use the blog for more fun stuff in 2009.
The cartoon to the right was the winning entry of the caption contest. It was submitted by Gary Pavitt, who won a luxury Christmas hamper.
