| | Consultants from the Big Four emerged as winners at the inaugural Consultant of the Year Awards 2007 run by the UK's Management Consultancies Association (MCA).
Deloitte’s nominees beat off stiff competition to win three of the nine awards, making it the most successful consulting firm at this year’s event. The three award winning Deloitte consultants are Annette Swinburn, HR Consultant of the Year; Richard Forrest, IT Consultant of the Year; and Paul Vivash, Best New Consultant.
James Eteen from Ernst & Young's Business Advisory Services was crowned the Strategy Consultant of the Year, and Isabelle Bailey was awarded the Future Consulting Leader. In the New Consultant of the Year award, Catherine McDonald of the BAS team was a runner up in the

Richard Hammell, Deloitte UK Consulting Talent partner said: “These awards represent broad and consistent recognition for the exceptional quality of our people across technical disciplines and career stages. Continuing to attract and inspire talented individuals, such as Annette, Richard and Paul, is critical to delivering outstanding services to our clients.”
Steve Varley, NEMIA Head of Business Advisory Services (BAS) at E&Y, said: "This has been a fantastic achievement for both of our consultants and for the BAS team as a whole. After just over two years back in the market, we have come out as clear winners against our direct competitors in the areas in which we specialise. These awards, together with E&Y's top 10 position on the UK Management
