Environmental specialist named 'Young Consultant of the Year'

 Hyder Consulting
environmental
specialist, Emma
Corbett, has won the
'Young Consultant of the
Year' in the British
Expertise International
Awards 2007
   The award recognised
the contribution made by
Corbett in growing
Hyder's Middle East
environmental business
and in raising awareness
of environmental issues
throughout the region.

    When she transferred
to Abu Dhabi as the
region’s first
environmental manager
from Hyder's Cardiff
office in December 2003,
environmental
specialists were
typically flown in to
support client projects
on an ad hoc basis.
Today, Hyder has 20
environmental
specialists based
permanently in the
Middle East. During her

 time there, Corbett was
the local representative
for the Institution of
Environmental Management
and Assessment and
helped play a leading
role in advising
government and
developers about
environmental
responsibilities and
sustainable solutions
for development.
   In this role, she has
undertaken and managed
environmental projects

 in the UAE, Bahrain,
Qatar, Kuwait and
Pakistan. Some of the
projects she has been
involved in include Burj
Dubai EIA, Qasr Al Sarab
Sustainable Design, Abu
Dhabi, and Shams Abu
Dhabi EIA on Reem
Island.
   Corbett recently
returned to the UK to
take up a role as
International Business
Development Manager for
Hyder's environmental

 group.
   The British Expertise
International Awards
recognise excellence in
design, planning,
management and
construction of overseas
projects and support the
continued outstanding
success of UK
professional services
throughout the world.

 for 2007."
   Comprising 55% of
total Q3 07 revenue,
Managed Operations
achieved a solid organic
growth of 10.3%, with
double digit growth in
several countries such
as the United Kingdom,
The Netherlands, Spain
and Belgium.
   The good performance
of the United Kingdom
confirmed the expected
effect from the ramp-up
of the new large
contracts signed during
the second semester of
2006.
   With 39% of Q3 2007
total revenue and a
global utilisation rate
of 81%, Systems
Integration achieved an
organic growth of 6.1%,
mainly led by The

 Netherlands, Germany and
Central Europe, Americas
and Asia Pacific.
   France showed a
better performance with
a 3.4% organic growth
compared to a decrease
of 0.5% during the first
half of 2007. Following
the restructuring,
revenue decreased in the
United Kingdom and Italy
respectively by 4.3% and
11.3% and had a negative
effect of -4 points on
the organic growth of
Systems Integration.

2007 total revenue,
Consulting saw a
decrease of 18.5% on a
year-on-year basis and
16.2% at constant scope
and exchange rates.
   Atos said France and
The Netherlands remained

 affected by staff
attrition and a lower
level of utilisation
than last year. In the
United Kingdom, the
level of order entries
and utilisation were not
satisfactory, while an
organic decrease was
expected further to the
restructuring.
   Atos said the
management teams of the
Consulting divisions in
France, the UK and The
Netherlands are
currently defining
medium-term common
standardised consulting
practices and offers to
be sold in the company's
major European markets.

    The group also said
that orders rose 9% in
the first nine months of
the year and that its
three-year restructuring
plan was on track.
   Philippe Germond,
chairman of the board
and CEO of Atos Origin,
said: "The 3O3
Transformation Plan is
on track, starting to
bear fruits and creating
value. We are fully
confident in our ability
to reach the objectives
of revenue organic
growth at 4.0% and
