PricewaterhouseCoopers selects new global chairman
 
 Dennis M. Nally has been
elected chairman of the
PricewaterhouseCoopers
International Network
for a four-year term
beginning on 1 July,
2009. PwC member firms
worldwide ratified the
selection of Nally, 56,
by the
PricewaterhouseCoopers
Global Board.
   Samuel A. DiPiazza,
Jr., the current
chairman announced last
November that he was
retiring after a 35-year
career with the firm. He
will remain with PwC for
a transition period and
will formally retire
later in 2009.
   Nally has served as
the chairman and senior
partner of
PricewaterhouseCoopers
LLP, the PwC United
States member firm,
since 2002 and is a
member of the global PwC
Network Leadership Team
and chair of PwC's
 
 Network Strategy
Council. Nally’s
successor as chairman of
PwC US will be announced
later this year
following an election
process.
   Nally joined PwC in
the US in 1974 and
became a partner in
1985. Prior to being
elected US firm
chairman, he served in a
variety of leadership
and client services
roles. Recently, he led
an extensive review of
PwC's global structure,
which resulted in
significant enhancements
to the global network
that were implemented in
late 2008. As chairman,
Nally will continue to
serve on the PwC Network
Leadership Team along
with his successor as
chairman of PwC US; Ian
Powell, chairman of PwC
UK; Silas Yang, chairman
of PwC China Hong Kong;
and Hans Wagener,

   Nally has extensive

a member of the American
Institute of Certified
Public Accountants and
the New York State
Society of CPAs. He
serves on the Board of
Directors of the US
Chamber of Commerce and
the Partnership for New
York City, as well as
Duke University's Fuqua
School of Business Board
of Visitors, The
Carnegie Hall Society
Board of Trustees and
The Business Roundtable.
   A graduate of Western
Michigan University,
Nally also completed the
Columbia University and
Penn State University
Executive Programs. He
and his family reside in
New Canaan, CT.
