LogicaCMG reports strong 2005 results
 
  
   
 
 
 
 
 
 utilisation rate and a
market, which chief
executive Martin Read
described as more
"benign" for IT
services.
   For the year to 31
December 2005, revenues
increased by 10.6% to
£1.8bn – 5.3% of which
 
 was organic. Net profit
more than doubled to
£69.6m compared to
£25.2m in 2004.
   Commenting on the
future outlook for the
company, Read said: "The
combination of improving
market conditions,
increased scale and a
 
 broader geographic
footprint should enable
the LogicaCMG group to
make further progress in
2006."
   Regionally, the UK
and Netherlands were the
strongest performers,
offsetting the
money-losing performance
 
 in Germany.
   France reported a
modest 2.5% growth. The
company hopes to build
on this with the Unilog
acquisition, which
should move the business
up the value chain.
  
 
 LogicaCMG has posted a
66% rise in pre-tax
profits to £105.6m
thanks to a high

between local
authorities and national

Corporation, has boosted
its global team by
giving its former UK
chief executive a
greater global role and
creating a new global
chief administrator
 
 position.
   The firm has
appointed Robert
Middleton to lead its UK
business. Middleton, who
has been UK managing
director since 2003,
will take over from Ron
Amy, who will remain
 
 chairman of Aon
Consulting UK and assume
greater responsibilities
in developing Aon's
global strategy.
   In addition, Baljit
(Bal) Dail has been
named global chief
administrative officer,
 
 a newly-created position
within the organisation.
Both Amy and Dail will
continue to report to
Andrew Appel, chief
executive officer of Aon
